Zootennial Plaza

In 2014, the San Antonio Zoo will commemorate its first 100 years. And the centerpiece of this centennial celebration will be the creation of Zootennial Plaza—a thoughtfully, meticulously designed $8 million gathering place that will include:

• An upscale restaurant
• A centralized family gathering area for casual and reserved occasions
• A custom-designed carousel

                

Imagine a restaurant where first dates and golden anniversaries take place under a canopy of nature, surrounded by wildlife.

Where parents walk children hand-in-hand along the river’s edge, while native and exotic creatures drink from its water.

Where the Zoo’s carousel becomes the new backdrop for family portraits.

Where a central plaza becomes the City’s most favored site for casual gatherings and catered events.

It will be a Zoo for all ages, a Zoo for all of San Antonio and beyond.
