Roars and Snores

Cost: $35 per person, groups of 20 to 40
6:30 pm to 8:30 am

Bring your scout troop, school group, church group or neighbors for the wildest slumber party in town. Evening activities
include animal presentations, owl pellet
dissection or discovery tracks, night tour,
evening snack and a bedtime movie.
Morning brings a continental breakfast
and a special keeper presentation. Enjoy
the rest of the day exploring the Zoo.
What is it?
Imagine sleeping along the riverbank in Africa with hippos and crocs active all night long. That’s just part of the excitement of our newest overnight program held in Africa Live! Sleep in the hippo gallery, explore the Zoo in search of night prowling African beasts, meet some program animals, learn about Kenyan culture and experience an African story circle.
Who can come?
Any organized group, age 6 or older. Each overnight is designed to be age appropriate for groups of 20-40 participants (i.e., adults and children). Special arrangements can be made for groups up to 60. There must be at least one chaperone for every 5 campers under the age of 18.
When are overnights?
Currently they are offered the second Friday of each month.
What do we bring?
You will need a sleeping bag and a pillow. An air mattress or bed mat is recommended. Please do not bring music players, hair dryers, or hand-held electronics. Cameras are welcome.
What about food?
Please eat prior to arriving at the Zoo. Dinner is not provided. An evening snack and Continental breakfast are included. PLEASE DO NOT BRING ANY FOOD ITEMS.
What is the cost?
Cost per person is $50. A minimum of 20 people or $1000 is required to book this program. A $100 non-refundable deposit is required at registra-tion. Balance of the payment is due TWO WEEKS prior to the event. Plan carefully, no refunds given. Call 210-734-7184 ext 1501 with questions.
