Enchanted Evening Tours

Come see where the wild things are in the quiet of the
evening. Zoo staff will take you on an after-hours tour to
see how resident animals “let down their hair” after the
day’s crowds depart. We’ll even get a chance to hear the
hyenas “laugh” and the lions roar.

Bring your sweetie for a romantic dinner in Africa Live! First, enjoy a cool beverage in the gallery while watching the hippos frolic. Upstairsin the banquet room you’ll feast on a delicious catered meal followed by some true tales of love
in the animal world and adventures in captive breeding.

Bring your camera and shoot wildlife from around the world right here in San Antonio! After an introduction to wildlife nature photography, we’ll go “on a safari” around the Zoo to capture some great nature shots.

Don’t hesitate, this popular program fills quickly.
Bring the family to a great campout experience
complete with roasting hot dogs on an open fire,
sleeping outside in a tent and, of course, animal
encounters and evening Zoo tour.

Wild Texas Campout

Families of all ages
Oct. 23, 5:30 pm–11:00 am
Cost per person: Members, $35/adults; $17/child
Nonmembers: $45/adult; $25/child

Join Education staff for a roaring good time camping out at Guadalupe State Park. Bring your gear, set-up your campsite and gather around the campfire for a picnic meal, songs, stories and time in nature. After breakfast, join the park’s naturalist on a special tour. Price includes all entry fees.

Africa Live SleepoverAfrica Live Sleepover

Imagine sleeping along the riverbank in Africa with hippos and crocs active all night long. That’s just part of the excitement of our newest overnight program held in Africa Live! Join the safari and experience Africa and the animals that inhabit
the grasslands, forests and rivers.
