Group Programs

Custom Programs

Looking for a fun, educational experience for your group? The Education Department can design a special program for your group. Night tours, overnights, scout programs, team building events and behind the scenes opportunities can be arranged; as scheduling permits.

Roars and Snores

Ages 6 and up
6:30 pm to 8:30 am
Cost: $40 per person, groups of 20 to 60

Bring your scout troop, school group, church group or neighbors for the wildest slumber party in town. Evening activities include animal presentations, owl pellet dissection or discovery tracks, night tour, evening snack and a bedtime movie. Morning brings a continental breakfast and a special keeper presentation. Enjoy the rest of the day exploring the Zoo.

Family/Open Roars and Snores

Don’t have 20 people in your troop? No problem! This overnight is for individual sign-up and all Girl Scouts are welcome. All participants must be accompanied by a paying troop leader or parent.

 

Passport to Adventure! Family Sleepover

Cost per person: $40/member; $50/nonmember


Come join us for a unique adventure with your family or friends! Upon your arrival, you will
receive a special San Antonio Zoo passport, and your nighttime adventure at the Zoo will
begin! It is your chance to learn about animals that live in other countries and receive fun
“stamps” in your book as you complete this overnight adventure! Sleepovers are ideal for
ages 5 and up. One paying adult required for every three children under 18.

 

 

Africa Live! Sleepover

Ages 6 and up
6:30 pm to 8:30 am
Cost: $55 per person, groups of 20 to 40. 
    * Special arrangements can be made for groups up to 60. *

Imagine sleeping along the riverbank in Africa with hippos and crocs active all night long. That’s just part of the excitement of our newest overnight program held in Africa Live! Join the safari and experience Africa, and the animals that inhabit the grasslands, forests and rivers.

Cost: $16/members; $21/nonmembers; $13/parent

Calling all Scouts! Learn about the Zoo and the animal collection in a fun-filled program that compliments badge or pin requirements.
